Before Treatment
Follow any pre-procedure instructions from Stadia Med Spa to achieve optimal results from your procedure. Before your O-shot, shave the treatment area within 24 hours and drink plenty of water 2 hours before your appointment. Hydration assists with the blood draw and ensures high-quality blood plasma for better treatment results. Please inform your provider if you take any medications, herbal supplements, or prescriptions. Avoid NSAIDs – like ibuprofen, aspirin, Aleve, and Excedrin – for one week before and two weeks after your O-shot. NSAIDs interfere with your blood plasma’s ability to regenerate and will interfere with your results.
During Treatment
The O shot is a non-invasive, non-surgical procedure performed at Stadia Med Spa. The appointment takes about 30 minutes and starts with a simple blood draw. A centrifuge separates the plasma – a process that takes about 20 minutes to complete. Meanwhile, your provider applies a topical numbing cream to your clitoris. Prior to injecting, a lidocaine block will be administered to the area. After the treatment area is numb, your provider will inject into the clitoris and the anterior vaginal wall. Some providers do a less invasive version of the O shot and only inject the into the clitoris. The treatment is virtually pain-free despite the slightly uncomfortable location of the injections.
After Treatment
Recovery from the O shot is fast and easy! You leave the office directly following your appointment and resume your normal activities. Some people experience mild cramps, tenderness, and bruising after their appointment, but these symptoms should go away within a few days. Sexual activity is highly encouraged after your treatment as soon as you are comfortable with doing so. Do not use any NSAIDs for two weeks to optimize your results! That’s it!
